A Sneak Peek at Your Future Role

As a BI Backend Developer (Junior/Mid), your role is to support and assist the team with developing and maintaining backend systems that power our BI solutions, ensuring data is reliable and well-structured for analysis. 

You’ll work closely with more experienced developers to help build and optimize data workflows, following best practices and established guidelines to ensure smooth operation across our BI platforms.

Here Are the Key Tasks You'll Be Working on Every Day

• Support the implementation of data pipeline tickets, including adjustments to data fields and tables, based on technical guidance and business input.
• Assist with data operations tasks, from updating columns to managing more complex data movements, while building autonomy and confidence in handling these workflows.
• Maintain data processes to ensure accurate data flow that supports reporting needs and contributes to system reliability.
• Work closely with teams to understand the business rules, validate data results, and ensure the technical outcomes meet expectations.
• Engage in client interactions to clarify requirements, estimate ticket complexity, and communicate technical limitations or needs, while contributing relevant input to functional discussions.

We're Thrilled to Have You Consider Joining Our Team. Here Are the Qualifications We're Seeking

• Two years of professional hands-on experience developing data warehouse or data lake solutions, with an understanding of data modeling principles.
• Proficiency in Python and building reliable ETL/ELT pipelines to support business-driven data flows.
• Experience with SQL, including query building, optimization, and database management. 
• Solid experience with Databricks, handling workflows, and managing data pipelines.
• Proficiency with Azure services such as Blob Storage and Key Vault, and the ability to use them in real-world data scenarios.
• Understanding of data architecture concepts, including dimensional modeling and versioned data handling (e.g., SCD).
• Knowledge of Gitflow processes for CI/CD, contributing to pipeline development and branch management.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
